"Seek"

Seek and you shall find:
Yourself.
Your hopes and dreams.
Your loves and hates.
Your secrets.
Why have you been hiding them?
Such important things,
So carefully stowed away.
Foolishness.
Live in a way that leaves you
With no regrets.
Love in a way that keeps your heart
Safe from ache.
When did you forget?
You silly silly girl,
Your eyes bright with disdain.
Hate me.
Surely I deserve it.
Do you think I find joy in my love?
Such a painful reminder,
Rewarded with an equally painful response.
How can this possibly be real?
When you're so fake?
A smiling mask of deceit
Hiding hideous scorn.
Who can be truthful in a world such as ours?
Where lies protect us from the truth,
And allow us to sleep peacefully at night.
I should have known.
I allowed hope to blind me once more.
Never again.
Never again will I attempt to seek the truth.
It never holds true to your dreams.
Wishful thinking,
Because more often than not...
Reality is just too real.

this is the best part of the poem i can relate alot and i love it :D
