I miss the way
it never was
I miss the laughs
we never shared
I miss the attention
you never gave
Maybe I've been dreaming for too long?
I wish we could have done those things
that we never did
I wish we could have seen those places
that we never saw
I wish we could have said those things
that we never said
Maybe I've wasted too much time?
Where did I lose my nerve?
When did I lose my faith?
I'm too afraid to move forward
and too determined to step back
Not much time is left
I can't keep doing this
Why am I stuck in the middle?
Leaving you behind is out of the question
Another day without you is unbearable
Life is too short to live this cautiously
I need to move ahead
I still have some time to work things out
I still have some time to live my dream
But how long will you wait for me?
